FAQs

What is Peek Performance & Tutoring?

Our primary goal is to provide highly effective instruction and coaching for students. This goal is accomplished through instruction led by master-degreed, certified and experienced teachers. We provide three main services: forensic coaching, academic coaching and complete courses. All services are available to both home-schooled and traditional students.

How do I book a session or course?

Booking is easy! Simply email smpeek@peekperformance.org with your information, and we will work to set up a mutually agreeable time to discuss your needs and session times.

How do I meet with my teacher?

Make sure you have both a webcam and a microphone as we use a secured Zoom room to meet. We will email you a link to access the room as well as a password. To start your meeting, please click on the link, enter your name and when it’s time for your session, you will be admitted to the meeting room. Unless you are not in the United States, tutoring documents will be shared through a Google folder, so it is best if you have a Google account.

How do I pay?

Individual customers will be billed through PayPal. Single sessions must be paid in advance and longer commitments are billed monthly. Should you have a problem, we ask that you discuss it with us ahead of time. Payment plans are available, and as a service, we do take a limited number of students at significantly reduced rates.

I think my session was ineffective. Can I get my money back?

All sales are final. However, we want you to be happy with the service. Please discuss problems as they arise so that they can be resolved.

What happens if the internet does not work during a session?

We all know that the internet occasionally can be problematic: storms, power outages and so forth can interrupt connection on either end. Should this happen, please text the teacher (we will exchange numbers during the intake process) and we will reschedule. Should this happen to only one student during a group session, the student will be provided a recording of the session and any help needed to catch up.

I’m participating in a speech or debate event that isn’t listed on your services page. Can you still coach me?

Of course. Just email us at smpeek@peekperformance.org, and we will help you figure it out! If we feel you are out of our expertise, we will refer to you to a service with the expertise you need.

Can you coach me in FFA LDE’s?

If it is a speaking event, we would love to. Just email us at smpeek@peekperformance.org, and we will set it up!

Can my parent or coach be a part of the sessions?

Parents and coaches are welcome to be at any session. In the case of group classes, we ask that parents be silent observers.

Can you coach me without my school coach’s permission?

We do not need your coach’s permission; however, the coach at your school may prohibit you working with a private coach. We ask that you respect your coach’s wish in this matter. We do not routinely work with students whose coaches are actively opposed to private coaching. We encourage students and parents to be open with all coaches involved. We are happy to discuss needs and concerns with any speech or debate coach.

Will you post my picture or name on your website or social media?

We would love that! Please send us pictures of you and your awards! We would also love positive reviews on our Facebook and Instagram accounts. However, we will never mention you by name or post your picture without asking your permission.

Do you provide services to home-school coops?

We love homeschoolers and are happy to work with you to provide instruction within our areas of expertise. Please email us at smpeek@peekperformance.org to get the conversation started.

Do you provide speech and debate clinics to schools?

Yes, we do. Please email us at smpeek@peekperformance.org, and we will work out a plan.
